Asian Football Awards
01 February 2012
The recent inaugural Asian Football Awards were held at Wembley Stadium to celebrate the contribution of British Asians to the national game.
Over the past decade a notable number of the Awards’ winners – including the London Tigers, the Osmani Trust, MSWF, Baljinder Singh and Jarnail Singh – have featured on the Asian Football Network’s best practice case studies section, which serves to highlight the impact of Asians in football within all sectors of the game on and off the field of play.
Baljinder Singh Director of the KFA said:
“Winning the award is a result of ongoing support from family, friends, KFA volunteers and The Asian Football Network for there ongoing support over the years. I have faced numerous barriers in football but eventually I knew with persistence and motivation I can deliver inspirational coaching initiatives in Football and I thank the Judges for selecting me as the winner and organisers of Asian Football Awards for recognising Myself for the work I do in the community.”
Baljit Rihal Co-Founder of the Asian Football Awards said:
“The first ever Asian Football Awards was a celebration of the success of Asians in all aspects of UK football. We are proud to have created the awards which we are confident will be an annual high profile event.”
