Chinese National Super Cup

As planned, the Chinese National Super Cup will be held on February 15 at Suzhou Olympic Sports Center. However, the Chinese Football Association has announced a postponement of the match between the two clubs Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai Shenhua until further notice.

Chinese professional basketball tournament

The second phase of the 2019-2020 season will be halted in the future due to the impact of the coronary pneumonia outbreak. According to the original plan, the matches will start on February 1. Currently, the new schedule has not been determined because it depends on the extent of the impact of the disease, as well as the recommendations of the government.

Asian indoor track and field championships

Asian Athletics Association said it would cancel the tournament on February 12 to February 13 in Hangzhou, China. In a statement, the Association’s leaders said this was to ensure the health and safety of athletes and the community.

The World Indoor Indoor Athletics Championships in Nanjing is also scheduled from March 13-15 to the following year. 

Asian futsal championship 2020

On the afternoon of February 3, the Asian Football Federation (AFC) sent a notice of postponement of the Asian futsal championship to participating countries, including Vietnam. Previously, the tournament is scheduled to take place from February 26 to March 8 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. AFC has not set a date for the re-competition, it all depends on the situation of corona virus.

Motor racing

Formula E motor race in Sanya canceled its schedule on March 21. This move made the organizers of the Formula One race in a position ready to change the schedule. The Chinese Grand Prix is ​​scheduled to take place in Shanghai on April 19.

Tournament running in Hong Kong

According to the original schedule, the Hong Kong Marathon will take place on February 8 and February 9. However, the widespread spread of the epidemic caused the organizer to decide to cancel the award, even though the number of registered members reached 74,000.

In addition to the postponed tournaments, canceled, many other major sporting events are also in an alarm state. The host country of Japan has expressed concern about the spread of the corona virus and worried about its impact on the schedule of the Tokyo Olympics this summer. Tournament leader Toshiro Muto told the BBC that he hoped the translation would be extinguished as quickly as possible.
