3. Heung Min Son
He is the most famous Korean football player today. As a Korean professional footballer, players like winger or a striker for Tottenham Hotspur Premier League club and captain of the Korean national team.
Son completed his development at Hamburger SV, where he debuted in the Bundesliga in Germany in 2010. In 2013, he moved to Bayer Leverkusen with a record 10 million euros and played for the club in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League. During his time at Tottenham, he became Asia’s top scorer in Premier League history.
He also represented Korea at the 2018 Asian Games, where the team won the gold medal as well as the 2011 and 2015 versions of the AFC Asian Cup, ending the 2015 season he received the award for “the best young player of the tournament.”
3. Shinji Kagawa
As a professional Japanese footballer playing for German club Borussia Dortmund and Japanese national team. Kagawa started his professional career at home with Cerezo Osaka before joining Borussia Dortmund in 2010. After two years with Dortmund, Kagawa signed a contract with Manchester United with a four-year contract. Two years later, he returned to Dortmund. A midfielder scoring goals, he is known for his “vision, technique, movement and skillful passage”. Kagawa holds the record for most appearances and goals for a Japanese player in UEFA club competitions.
Since making his international debut in May 2008, he has won more than 80 appearances. On November 29, 2012, Kagawa was named International Player of the Asian Football Federation of the Year.
4. Atsuto Uchida
As a professional Japanese soccer player, he plays for the J1 League club Kashima Antlers and the Japanese national football team as a right-back.
He is considered to be the best full-back of Japanese football. Uchida used to be together with Shalker Club 04 to win the German Super Cup in 2010/2011 season. He also joined the Japanese soccer team to win the AFC football cup in 2011.
